About us

Attitudes to oral health have undergone a sea change over the last few decades. At Cuckfield Dental Practice we now spend at least as much time on prevention as we do on cure and, in keeping with our role as family dentists, nowhere is this more apparent than with the children we treat.

We are passionate advocates of educating them how to look after their teeth and gums properly right from the start – teaching them how to clean effectively and encouraging them to take a healthy interest in dietary care. Hopefully today, we will ensure that these children will be far better educated in this respect than their parents and grandparents ever were!

At Cuckfield Dental Practice we are very proud to have been allocated a Foundation Dentist by NHS Health Education England and recognised as a training practice. Foundation Dentists are qualified dentists who do a year’s further training to develop their skills in NHS dental practice. This year, Helena Overton-Smith has joined us to complete her training.

Our Practice

Our practice is situated in the heart of the small village of Cuckfield, a few miles west of Haywards Heath. Housed in a delightful listed building dating back to the 1700s, Cuckfield Dental Practice has provided family dentistry to the local community and surrounding areas for over 20 years. We now have five surgeries and treat more than 10,000 patients.

We do treat a number of NHS patients but are not currently accepting new ones as our quota is full.
