Implants
Dental implants are a new way of replacing missing teeth, giving you a long-term, permanent solution, replacing the need for bridges or partial dentures.
Dental implants are titanium fixtures that are surgically screwed into the jaw bone and are used to anchor natural-looking false teeth. As the bone grows around the implant, the result is a smile that not only looks completely natural, but one that feels and functions like your own teeth. Implant surgery is carried out under local anaesthetic and patients are often surprised at how little discomfort is felt.
Dr Guy Barwell BDs MMBs FDS RCS ENG BSC
Guy Barwell qualified as a dentist and medical doctor from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Hospital with distinctions. In 1993 he read Psychology with the focus of his degree on reducing dental anxiety. He was awarded a fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1998. Guy is very experienced in all aspects of implant dentistry, particularly treatment planning, implant surgery and bone augmentation.
